I’m not hating on the game, there just isn't much to it. The game lacks a significant objective. You can look around for more quests, help out a king, overthrow a country, or attack bandits outside of town. After you’ve learned how to take care of yourself and complete the initial quest, you're free to do whatever you please with your time. It does have the courtesy not to shove it's infodumps in your face at once. There’s an obscenely large wall of text to read for just about anything and there’s a lot of game mechanics and simulated diplomacy to understand. Unfortunately, you can’t just go into the game and inherently know what to do. You start out by customizing a character-to great lengths I must add-and thrown into a situation that gives you a quest. The game is fairly simple yet overly complex at the same time.
However, something feels missing from the overall experience, making it all rather mediocre. Naturally, you’re left with hundreds of hours of gameplay to build up an army and expand your favored nation. It’s not that there isn’t enough content to delve into, it’s that there is too much content and generally feels overwhelming. Mount & Blade: Warband is a deep and rich medieval era role playing strategy game that I really couldn’t get into for very long, though it offers a fairly unique, albeit sloppy experience. Instead, the player is free to choose their game targets within the game frame.Have you ever played a game that seemed like it would be fun, enjoy it for the first hour or two only to realize the game just isn’t for you? Yeah, I think we all have. Like the main game, Mount & Blade, Warband refrains from any fantasy elements and tells no story.
The game was developed by the Turkish developer studio TaleWorlds Entertainment and is distributed by Paradox Interactive. In this remake many things have been renewed and improved as opposed to the predecessor. Mount & Blade: Warband is a remake of the Medieval Action Roll Game, which was released in March 2010 for Windows, MacOS and Linux, and in September 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Ctrl+T - Lets you see all parties and tracks on the map screen.
Ctrl+Left Click - Teleports the party to the cursor (when on the map screen). Ctrl+W - Gives you 10 points to each Weapon Proficiency while on the character screen. Ctrl+X - Gives you 1000 experience points while on the character screen. You can command yourself with the party command keys. Ctrl+F5 - AI takes control of the player character. Ctrl+alt+F4 - Delivers blunt damage to all enemies. Ctrl+F4 - Delivers blunt damage to a random enemy (doesn't hurt horses). Ctrl+Shift+H - Refills your horse's health.
